"Hello boys and girls" sagt Mrs. Kotsch lächelnd.
"Beat the book on the page to a hundred and ten" sagt Mrs. Kotsch.
Wor schlagen alle die Seite 110 auf.
"Emilia, read before the number two" murmelt die Lehjrerin.
"I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I waterd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.
And into my garden stole.
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see,
My foe outstretchd beneath the tree. " lese ich vor.
"Great, Emilia, Marvin sure you number three" sagt die Lehrerin.
Marvin seuftz und liest vor:
"A woman's face with nature's own hand painted,
Hast thou, the master mistress of my passion;
A woman's gentle heart, but not acquainted
With shifting change, as is false women's fashion:
An eye more bright than theirs, less false in rolling,
Gilding the object whereupon it gazeth;
A man in hue all hues in his controlling,
Which steals men's eyes and women's souls amazeth.
And for a woman wert thou first created;
Till Nature, as she wrought thee, fell a-doting,
And by addition me of thee defeated,
By adding one thing to my purpose nothing.
But since she prick'd thee out for women's pleasure,
Mine be thy love and thy love's use their treasure."
"Great .... Now you write the poem into two beautifully written and when you're done you give me your book. Because there are notes for" sagt Mrs. Kotsch.
Wir nicken und schreiben beide Gedichte ab.
Dann geben wir es Mrs. Kotsch ab.
"Stand up, we sing now a christmas carol ... because we have the Christmas party soon" sagt die Lehrerin.
